Are you thinking about getting away from it all? Curious about how sailing might help you achieve your goals? This Royal Yachting Association (RYA) course is a great opportunity for you to find out what sailing is all about. Over the course of a weekend, you will experience steering a yacht, sail handling, rope work and be aware of safety on board.
 

The weekend starts on Friday night with a leisurely meal on board. We then spend Saturday morning having a go at handling the yacht on the River Dart before sailing along the South West coast to places like Salcombe where the boat will anchor overnight returning to Dartmouth on Sunday morning.
 

Once you have completed this course you will hold the RYA ‘Start Yachting’ certificate and you will know a lot more about yourself and whether sailing is for you. Our aim at Devon Sailing is to encourage your interest and to ensure you have a fun weekend with like minded people.
