This three day course is very popular and covers most of what you need to know if the going gets tough
Training for recreational and racing skippers and crews who encounter rough weather and problems at sea.
At the end of the course you will have a good knowledge of the safety equipment carried on small boats and the seamanship techniques needed to survive at sea in heavy weather.
Course topics include:
- One day sea survival course (STCW95)
- Oneday of training in seamanship and emergencies, including heavy weather seamanship, weather forecasting, fire fighting and man overboard recovery, how to deploy sea anchors and drogues, preperation for heavy weather at sea. How to make the most of a broken rig and keep going.
- High Line and transfer excersise with the RNLI and Coast Guard (Subject to availability)
